hi Bruce I cleaned and fitted new diaphram, springs, shoe, and brass contacts.. starts first pull and the throttle control works good, when i push down on the throttle lever for power, it revs to the point where it sounds like it is going to take off. Springs maybe..???

briggsboy, It sounds like it is an air leak if it is reving really high. If it is a power torque motor check large starter 'O'ring.

briggsboy, The carby mounting block has two screws holding it onto the cylinder. Is it loose? If so it also has an 'O'ring behind it. Try replacing it. We have information on the carby in the Parts list and manual area.
