That is clear and forthright guys - Deejay's commentary is excellent, and so is Joe's editing. I'd like to see more clearly into the innards, especially the chain area, so we could better understand what was happening - mainly a matter of more intense lighting in the dark-coloured areas I think.
Well done, Deejay and Joe, that should answer a lot of questions for a lot of members.
All videos from now on will be on a full high defintition digital video camera, The thing is with a normal digital camera you always lose clarity as they are designed to take photos....
It's excellent work, Joe, there are no out of focus bits or movement-blurs, it's all fine. I just want it to look like a Briggs tech manual with colour and movement. Nothing to it really, you just have to combine the talents of tech illustrators, animators, actors, prop guys, cameramen, and half a dozen other crafts with just two guys involved.
Great stuff Deejay and Joe. I picked up a couple of tips that should help me set mine up better. The chain links on mine were the wrong way around. I was also relying on the adjuster bracket nuts to do the holding rather than nipping up the nylocks on the screws. Also I had cleaned the chains with kero but didn't regrease them anywhere near as liberally as you did so I'll get to that soon too. Thanks, and cheers.
Just a heads up, you will notice that Joe did an text overlay regarding the blade adjuster bearing housing locking nuts on the outside of the chassis rails. It is imperative that these nuts be loosened before doing any clearance adjustments.
Just winding the main adjustment screw in any direction can exert great pressure on the casting and fracture it, and they are expensive to replace. I should have really stressed that in my commentary. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for an excellent reference. It helped me sort out my blade positioning problems. I have one question - In another video you talk about using a 3 leg gear puller to aid in removing the reel. Would a Stanley 3 jaw 75mm puller be large enough for that purpose or should I go to a 150mm?
