Hi All

I recently received this little Atco reel mower, which has an incomplete Villiers engine, and what appears to be a home-made front roller.

I was hopping someone might be able to help in either identifying of sourcing the missing magneto Assy, Carburetor, and roller.

So If you know more about this mower, have some pictures that might help, or have some parts you would be happy to sell, please let me know, as I would love to move forward with the restore on this little one.

Since these pictures, I have begun cleaning and restoring the chassis, I will begin a thread on this mower in the restorations section once I get a little further.

Keep an eye on ebay, I dont know what engine it was but I always used to see parts that I think I could have adapted to it.

Cheers Joe, I'll keep an Eye on that one, and see how it goes.

Hopefully it wont go for too much, I also need to work out how I would pick it up!

Cheers

Yes I agree Joe, great for parts! Well spotted mate. grin

Ty, I restored one of these (Model 1451 ATCO) many years ago, and was pleased to source another to use for parts....some parts are hard to come by and this little fella on flea bay appears to be all complete and says so in the preamble of description...

One of the hardest parts to come by is the aluminium catcher. Has yours got one? If not send a message to the seller asking if his has one. wink
It has the kick starter which appears in the pic to be in working condition, also.
cheers2

I was going to have a punt on it, but I have enough stuff here for now, not only that I have a hard rubbish gig over the next few weeks coming up this week.

Anyhow back on topic, Ty, they are not rare as hens teeth yet, if you miss that one there will be more.

I might have to miss that one, at least I now know what I'm looking for, I might ask the seller if they can send some more detailed engine shots, if they are feeling nice!

Bob, if you can grab a pic or 2 of what is at the scrap yard, and a rough idea of what it would set me back, that would be great, but don't go out of your way, I'm sure you will be back there soon enough!

This search is now over, and this little atco is headed for restore.

Thanks go to Mal over at VM who donated a carby, and Etal who has an atco with the same engine he is brining my way.

The Atco comming up with Etal can be seen HERE .

I will now close this thread.

Cheers
Ty
