hey guys how is everyone just got a quick question about briggs motors its curently hard rubbish or (boyd "bring out ya dead") in our area at the moment and apart from picking up a few old victa mustangs with the old mettal g3 carbs (SCORE ) i picked up about 10 briggs and stratton mowers a few need valve jobs and carb diaprams cause they run tose crap pulsa jet carbs but i also picked up a quantum 50 very nice but it apears to have a viabration isue and im asumeing its a bent crank now before i go smaken the crap out of this thing to try and straiten the crank will one of the cranks out of the smaller three and half horse motors fit in the quantum 50 did they run the same size cranks between the 3horse and 5horse modlles so i can swap one out i asume it would be cheaper for manufactureing if they did run same parts between 3 horse and the slighty larger 5 horse modle do they just put a bigger piston in or something cheers guys and dont mean to brag (i do actualy) i also piced up a sthil fs280 and a tanaka tbc160 only needed carb kit for both and cluch spring for the sthil AWSOME
ok after just recuttings valves and cleaning carbs i relise there is a big diference everythings bigger but the quantums seem to be a more solid build than the mtd or sprint 3.75 here is a pic of the hord anyway a few hours out on hard hard rubbish hey can anyone tell me what year the vica is in the botum pic i know its a victa utility but the cylinder runs bacwards instead of sideways is it a 125cc or something ??
The utility at the bottom is a normal 160cc series 70 one but they generally are seen with a flat plastic cowl with the starter built in, these are great rough terrain mowers
