Well I really don't think any would have gone to the carby as tap was turned off,and I checked it doesn't seep through it.I will check but I feel it will be OK.Hopefully I will get it going tomorrow.

Even though it is often recommended in the manual, many people do not turn it off by closing the fuel tap, so there is still a good chance the carby was never run dry.
I would have a look in the float bowl first mate, could be all gunked up in there.

I'm referring to fuel that was left in the fuel bowl, last time it was run.
It can turn into a nice muck that jams the float!
Heck, I've had it happen in carby's on machines that arrived here with empty tanks.

That's good then, I guess either way you will find out sooner or later.
I'm very curios to see this restore as it goes along, there is just something so intriguing about this machine!

Also from what I can see in the adds there.I feel that my Scott Bonner doesn't have the correct fuel cap.Would like to know what it should have and to also find the right one.

I will collect any mower then, for now I need to keep it simple and make the odd 6 pack of beer to keep me happy My plan is (once we finnly get the spce we are after) build a VERY big shed, I'm talking Plane Hanger Big (Small plane hanger, not QUANTAS) and slowly fit it out with row upon row of mower display shelving, from top to bottom, front to back. It will be a 'Mower Library' Of courses, dreams is dreams, but you have to have something to aim for! Anyway, this has gone a little off topic, Jeffery, Have you done the test run yet?
Cheers Ty

OK have cleaned out the tank. Finally took some cleaning that's for sure.Checked carby none of that horrible fuel made it to the carby. Thanks god.Checked spark plug all good and clean.Has spark and good compression. Can't see any reason as why it wouldn't work.So tomorrow I will put some fuel in it and it should run.Hopefully.If and when it does I will let you all know.I will also put it up on you-tube.Fingers crossed.
