Hi Blumbly, Unfortunately I haven't got much knowledge of the Scott Bonnar rotaries, but I am doing some research on your machine for you, as we speak. Taking the Model 45 Scotty as being introduced in 1968, one would presume if the model numbers were applied sequentially, that the Model 49 was introduced late 60's to early 70's. It is in fantastic condition for its age, and would restore beautifully. on a great score Jeffery! PS. I will post any information as it comes to hand!

Don't suppose you kept the air cleaner? As I don't think it has the right one on it.

The engine had no cowl or anything on it either. It was all corroded that bad that it could not be pulled apart.

Blumbly, The Scott Bonnar logo in my previous post came to me originally from "willingworker" (lol I didnt know he was a member here). He gave me heaps of help with my "Centenary" model Scott Bonnar. He would be the best bet to go to for decals of various SB models too. Stationary
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Well I will have a look tomorrow, but I think that is very similar to what's on it.It just doesn't really match the one in the diagram above.

HERE it is. I just realised however, that there apears to be a repair in the exact same place, and a chip in the front.

It is, but the base is the same, the Villiers engine is mounted using a removable adaption plate, and you sould simply move it across to this base, however, sadly, I dont know if this base actually is any better, or more repairable.
