wow, as to your pm earlier, anything that looks anything like the 4 strokes or the powertorques in these pics, reasonably complete engine wise would be better

Hey Blumbly...I have a line on a wind up start VC with the plastic cowl cover and everything...would you wanna swap some of the above for it? I really like the look of the wind up Scott Bonnar!!!
Collecting Victa 2 stroke mowers from the 70s and 80s.

That scotty is awesome, I saw one at the wagga swap meet this year but didnt have the space to take it home.
The white one with no wheels is a bit too incomplete to take my fancy but if you junk it yourself can I scab the lower handlebar parts? On what I thought was my white vortex is a mustang GTS but is missing all the handle parts, if I got some lower ones a top half from anything else would work.

Does the front of the cowl screw to the base? As this one doesn't have screw holes in the front, but you can see at the back where the cowl has rubbed on the base.

That base is the same as the Vortex just without the holes.
Was probably just a mustang or something. The full size power torque cover would rub at the back.
With the few Vortexes ive had thorugh here and the one i kept for myself, some had the victa cast into the front hinging under the covers and others were just flat. I think its the series 1 thats flat.
Good haul that lot. almost makes me cry.
Theres 3 or 4 there you could fix up and sell to fund restos etc.
Did you see the supreme on ebay??

Yeah I'm not sure why the rover has that catcher,it was with it.It does seem to fit it quite well though.Yeah I seen the supreme on e-bay.Not sue if I can get it,freight from there to here would nearly a $100.The last one I had frighted just north of Sydney cost me $80.So I'm not sure it is a lot further away.I'll have to take your word on the white one as I have no idea on it.It does seem to have a similar base to the vortex. As I said before that's why I grabbed it thinking it was,but it's not.

Well I guess if I'm driving I don't really drink anything. If it's a warm day and it's a while before driving I have been known to have Carlton cold, but in all seriousness I love my cappuccinos.

I will see if i can get a pic of the corvette and the catcher tomorrow.
Seriously blumbly, you sould get every mower you can, tinker with each one, see if you can get it to work and sell it. Most of the victas will live again reguardless of appearance. Even if you sell it cheap, its money for you to spend on rare stuff and restos. With a catcher, a rough Victa or low arch i put $100 on, power torque steel base in fair order $125 and anything better, alloy base whatever or later model up to $180 or so. Its the season for it.

wow bob, if I'm selling. I usually sell for enough to cover half a slab of coldies and the few parts I put in them.
