Has anyone tryed one of these or anything like it??? seems like a good idea.

Hi bdaearth, There is really only one way to sharpen a cylinder reel and that is on a lathe.If you have a read through the Scott Bonnar threads, you will see a thread devoted to sharpening of cylinders and bedknife blades.

Have you got your Sharpener yet Stationary???

Would be keen to find out how you go with it ?? Seems to me like a form of backlapping but with the sharpener not grinding paste.
