If the base is in good nick, yeah, I'd say go for it, even just for spares for your own one when you get it.

Do you know wich type it is.
I Can narrow it down if you can remember what kind of control it had, and witch side it is on.

For memory it had the G4 carby and the control and air-cleaner where all in one.I can't quite remember but I thought the air hose came out on the left hand side when standing behind mower. Not sure if that's right.I am fairly sure it was that way.

Do you remember if you could see the carby's white face plate (or gey one on some models) where the primer bubble usually is?

I think it had been removed.I'm not to sure thought.I didn't paid a lot of attention to carby as I was more checking the condition of the mower and base plate.

If the control was on the left side (like the VC-160) and it was a one piece, then you would be looking at MKII or MKIII, II being backwards carby without a primer, III being backwards carby with a remote primer.

Ah, then the carby was most likely backwards, if it is a remote primer, that's a +1 for the machine, so i would recommend grabbing it!
(However, let me know if you decide not to grab it, as i might, but it's yours first, as this is the model you are working towards at the moment)

I think I have sold myself on getting it I mean hay it's only $10.What am I going to lose?It has a good base to start with, and the engine turns over. That has to worth $10.So I will track out that way maybe tomorrow and grab it.

Yeah I do to now,as I said before it does have a good base, and I think I've found another one that may not be wanted by owner as it is sitting out the front of a house.I will go and see them tomorrow as well.So maybe with the two I'll be able to make one out of them.

Let me know how you go with the second one too, sounds like it could be a good little score.

It just a matter of catching them home.Have tried once but nobody was home.I'd say they would have been at work.As last time I went there on a week day around lunch time.I'll just keep trying.
