Hi all out there.I'm having trouble in finding 2 model 8 engines.They would be like the earlier Model 2A and 3 motors,but the engine numbers wouldn't be as early.Most likely the numbers would have no real sequence but should have letters stamped in front of the numbers.They would also take the hamburger muffle.If any body has any or knows somebody has any and wants to get rid of them please let me know.I am trying to chase up 2 motors.They don't have to work just so long as they are recondition-able.I guess even if I could just find bores or crankcase's that are similar I would be happy with that.I have attached a couple of photo's of a Model 8 to show what I'm trying to find.Thanks all

blumby,sorry mate went through spares i don't have any that are not assigned to mowers.

good luck as they are the same as the rotomo and sheerline heads.
pic 1 i think is a late 125 barrel,it doesn't have the port covers
pic 2 is a victa 18 125 head exhaust port is flat
pic 3 is the type of head you are after,this is off my sheerline
there are rotomo engines on ebay but they are pricey

Thanks stevej.I think your right about the first picture.The 2nd picture is a model 4 & 5 motor.Which I have plenty of.Even have spares of those lads.The last picture is exactly what I'm after and it would have the Model 2A,3,4 & 5 crankcase.But the numbers I'm trying to find would have letters in front of them. Thanks again stevej I should have thought about putting engine pictures up.I just don't think I have a complete one to show.I guess that why I need them.

OK once again due to the greatness of Joe Carroll I now have 1 model 8 motor out of the 2 I need.So if anybody has another one,or even just the cylinder and or bottom of the crankcase with number.Please let me know.

No worries, I belive I have a couple of model 8 bases for you too.

Do they have the hight adjuster piece of plastic on them?They should almost be what I need to fix those 2 you brought today.Do they have motors?

Pic I took at dads the other day, I hid them in my shed at his place....

OH wow there looks like a model 3 base there as well.I can see one that has the plastic piece there.That should be the same.I'll take that.
