I have a problem with the chain being tight in the bar groove. After pulling the chain off the bar i find the bottom of the drive link is burred. The saw has the clutch hub with the replaceable rim. All pics of the rims i have found show them as one piece, this one is in two. So i am thinking that the smaller drive lugs for the links are flattening the bottom of the chain and it binds in the bar. Now that that is explained, where do i get a new one, or does anyone know of an equivalent. I have heard that they are similar to Stihl saws. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I was looking at saws a while back for the old man. I looked into those chinese saws but the old boy just went out and laid down the cash on a Stihl.
There are a few sellers offering the Baumr saws on eBay. One was saying about all parts for the saw being available. Thats where i would be looking.

Further more "agrmachinery" on ebay says that full parts are available.
I had one of these saws, 12 months later I put it in the bin. it was hard to start, thechain tensioner did not stay tensioned, the plastic casings warped and the starter broke twice.

After investigation it turns out that the rim is a .325 but the bar/chain combo on it is 3/8". So i am looking to change the hub assembly if required to 3/8. Just looking into equivalents at the moment. Plenty of rims out there, just have to find the right size. I think it is a sm7 size, but have not yet found spec measurements.

Would be cheaper to buy a new saw and use that one as parts. Heaps less headache and time spent looking for info and parts.
