Hi all,
Could someone please tell me the type of two stroke motor that is on this Victa?
I thought it was an early powertorque 160, it has a LM carbie with a solid end cap (no plug), electronic ignition, coil "topside", side pull starter and rectangular muffler. All are stock standard, I used three units to make this one.
It is currently on flea bay and someone is insisting that:- "It's just a 160cc Victa rear catcher model 2 stroke"
Would like to have my facts straight.
TIA
Chers

Lawn Slave,

The motor is a 160cc Victa gear start not a power torque engine as they came out I think in the 90's. Your motor was in the 80's. cheers2

Those motors are also far superior to the powertorques in my opinion.

I agree with Joe, the full crank motors are the best.

I assume by what you said that you built it up. Some of those motors had the external coil and the side starter but still had points.

I had one of those all rusty and horrible looking.
After i fixed it i took it out front for a test. Set it to 'eat dirt' and it was just into it, had some awesome mumbo.

It was my up sell mower. 'you can have this one for $100, or that shiny one there for $130' or 'whats that? you only want to spend $100, that one there is the one you get for $100'

Was a bit sad, someone bought it the other day. Its been replaced with a Lowarch with a wobbly front axle.

Cheers, Bob.
