i did find the interactive briggs workshop manuals online and have downloaded them they seem pretty good with vids and photos etc

when i get the 12 hp going bud ill concider floggin one anyone now of a blown 12 hp i still lookin for few internals then a rebuild kit and she should be good to go

I might just have to bodge up a Tecumseh tank.

Ive got a Briggs tank here but it does not fit the 8Hp.



I may have quite a few 8Hp electric start bits left over. Crank case has a big hole in one of the motors. Not sure what i will need yet. Not even sure if the other motor is 8Hp, its got nothing stamped on the cowling. I need to pull it down and compare parts.

if i going to get the 8 hp modified i just need a flywheel with ring gear and starter motorand ill go from there but just trying to find parts is the hard bit when funds are so limited
