I have a Toro Lawnmower which is about 10 years old. Is there anyway that I can make it into a mulching mower to avoid having to rake my lawn. We have a bag which we use often but don't prefer it due to the extra time it takes.
I have a MTD mower that I took a piece of tin to cover the discharge for the bag. Then bolted on a generic mulching blade from Big K and it works very well. As long as I don't let the grass grow too tall.
Put a GATOR blade on it and block off the discharge hole. The GATOR blade is known to be a very good mulching blade, and TORO has their own. Just make sure you get the right size, take the model number with you. mk.farnam@gateway.net
