hi everyone i have a whites L115 ride on. i have two problems with it. the first is when you push the clutch in it keeps driving, nearly stops but just enough to make it hard to select a gear or disengage a gear. i notice it has a disc brake type set up on the outer gearbox that works when you press the clutch in. could some one tell me if there is an an adjustment there or is there some other adjustment. The second problem is when you raise the cutting deck right up the blades wont disengauge. it looks like there are small brake pads on each bearing on the deck and when you raise it the pads contact the bearing but i'm not sure if i am right or not. can some one please give me some imfo on it all. thanks micka

Did you get it sorted Micka??
I also have a white outdoor ride on.
Are you sure you have the correct length belts on it?
If you pull the handle off the gear selector so you can remove the cover plate in front of the seat, there is a pulley there that varies the tension on the belt there when you push in the clutch. I would check that the tension is going off this belt, maybe the belt is too short and tension not off belt??
My blades are raised/lowered/turned off/on by the lever on the right hand side. There is a limit switch that engages when the handle is in the up position to cut power to the belt drive. You can see that through the same cover when you remove for above, check that it is working. The pads are only there to stop the blades spinning when not engaged, one of mine is missing totally, don't really do a lot, don't worry about them, sounds like the blades are being driven, so they won't stop them turning.
Hope this helps. Chris.

Hi micka,i have a mtd and pretty sure they are the same, just bought a new blade belt for mine(a66-$26.00)the blade brake pads are a good idea so when you lift the deck the top of the belt pulleys*2 there is a round smooth part that bolts on with the pulley and this rubs on the pads to stop the blades.the rear (diff)disc brake is adjustable as is the clutch rod for the drive belt.in the manual section it explanes how to adjust parts of the mower...ken i can take pics if you need
