Hey there compact mower owners and Bruce. The Victa compact has always bee a bit of a mystery mower to me. I was a Victa dealer from1958 onwards but never saw any thing of this model till someone bought on in for repair. No ref.to it at all in sales material or now mention of it at any of the the annual mower releases I attended. It may be that it was only offered thru selected outlets. It appears to be a half of a Victa twin which was also a bit of a mystery being sold in its final days thru M.S.A.A.dealers only I beleive. The one that I had in for repair ran very well until yhe owner ran straight petol in it and wrecked it; He Traded it in and years later I sold it in bits to a collector who was to restore it. I shall be seeing him soon and will ask him how he is going on with it and will pass Bruces comments on about the spares . In the meantiome can any one tell us a little more about this model Joe

Joe, The Victa Lightweight Compact Model No. V192 was manufactured in 1977 for department stores. I think "Walton?s" at that time. It was fitted with a model 35 catcher and used the standard victa blades CA090306. This came out after the Victa twin in 1977. I also have a parts list for this machine on file. Hope this is of some help.
Regards, Bruce

Joe, If the Lightweight is a mystery to you over there, then how many of them ended up in the UK?I have had no joy whatsoever in trying to locate blades over here and to be honest I was more than surprised when I saw that they were made in 1977 as apart from the blades the one I have is in immaculate condition (it even still has all the original stickers on it!) My father (who gave me the mower in the first place)has a very early Victa mower stored in his garage that has been there for years if you are interested i could dig it out and send you any numbers I can find on it and maybe you could identify that one for me? Watch Out for those prohibited items at the Airports Bruce . They really frown on any thing even remotely connected to do with cutting and slashing Ha Ha Re the man form U>K.though your question re the blades for the Victa Compact is answered thanks to Bruce. As I think I said earlier somewhere I never saw any thing in print at all re The compact Model. regards Joe
