Does anyone know how old a Victa Commando VJ 165A1 is? I've just bought one at a garage sale and haven't yet worked out how to remove the black plastic carb. Any hints? It won't start (but has spark). I suspect it is flooding (after 2 years of not being used). Any thoughts on this theory?
Rod The carb is attached with a bayonet fitting, like a light bulb. Push in toward the cylinder & turn downwards towards the deck. To access the float chamber, unscrew the brass jet below the primer bulb and remove the white cover. The float is mounted on the back of this cover.
