Hi Bruce,

Been a while ... but found yet another project ...

I have a Davey Firefighter pump (circa 1986) that has a Suzuki S200 (5HP?) 4 stroke engine, I have spent a while cleaning out the rust and dirt from the fuel system and it now runs ok (I also added a inline fuel filter for insurance laugh ). It is however running a bit rich ... it has a mikuni carb and am wondering if you could give me any advice on adjusting it?

Cheers

James

Hi Bruce,

Yes, it has a plastic float that hinges on the upper assembly where the needle valve is located (you can pull the bowl off and the float is still attached by hinge to the top) .. do you have a basic 'rule of thumb' for tuning unknown carbs?

Cheers

james,

Can you post a pic of the carby on the board so that I can have a closer look at what you are talking about? confused
