i got a price on some avacado green(it has to be mixed) its one ltr for $40 and 4 Ltrs for $140. I know that one ltr would be plenty for a victa, but how many could i paint with one ltr? thanks Daniel

I'd say that you would need 2 coats per mower. A rough guess would be 10 mowers. That's if you brush it on. I prefer brush to spray. It would be best to follow the instructions on the tin regards primer etc.

That price is fine, the spray tins (when you could buy them) were $15.

Do not brush hammertone on, you will not get the hammer effect correctly.

I have to disagree with you there MVC. I've brushed and sprayed this in large quantities. The spray is easier in large areas, like a bench top. However I would use a brush for a mower, particularly if the budget is tight. You lay the paint on quite thickly and quickly for the second coat and the effect is the same as a spray. It would also be faster than a spray, by the time you thin the paint correctly and clean your spray gun afterwards.
You are right about the spray tins, you can still buy them and they are insanely expensive.
At a guess, you might paint 2 mowers with a tin. Tins would be very fast too.
