Hello All, not sure if this is common knowledge or not but thought I'd post it anyway. When painting your mower bits and pieces it is very beneficial to add heat to the metal before you start spraying. The best way I've found is with short bursts from a blow-torch, there's a bit of trial and error involved but when you get a feel for it you'll find the heated part soaks up the paint with no runs and gives a really strong finish in one coat.
