I have not seen a VC125 before always wondered how they performed

I have a 125cc corvette, and a utiity they rev really well and have plenty of power. Not as much grunt as a 160 but has ample power.

Hi Joe, is this engine the same as the Series 70, 125 cc?

They are not a bad mower. I have used them before and they run well including the drive system on the self propelled models. They usually have ball bearing wheels which make it easier to push and if that one is in going order it would be worth purchasing but he has not said it goes. I would check his feedback to see if anyone has complained about buying stuff off him.

I even think I have a new catcher laying around as well somewhere.

Yeah I had a VC 160 with the impulse starter. Always wondered how the 125 went with this base plate. Which is possibly one of the best that Victa have made as they never clog.

Greg R, I notice that in his item description, that he says it cranks over, but will not start...It's hard to give advice here, as the prob could be as simple as stale fuel, crap in the carby, points, condenser or a fouled plug....but then again something more serious.
However, at the price, (and knowing they are a strong little engine), it could be worth the gamble...

Looking at the ebay auction I have reason to belive it may have a 160 motor under the 125 cover. Looking careully at the head you can see it uses studs that go into the base of the block, this is a trait of a 160.

125's use bolts to holt the head on that just screw into the cylinder and the cylinder is held on by a seperate set of nuts.
