Hi,

The fuel tank on my line trimmer is leaking, was just wondering if there is a sucessful fix out there for this without having to purchase a new tank for it? I can see a small crack in it.

It's an industrial whipper snipper with a mitsubishi motor on it.

Thanks

victa,

If it is a two stroke you don't have much hope repairing the crack because the oil tends to get into the material.

You could try using a soldering iron to melt the plastic together but I don't like the changes of being successful. cheers2

I guess I will give the soldering iron a try. What are the chances of finding another tank for it, It's a mitsubishi motor, would have to have a look at it to find the model number.

Best bet for a cheap "new" tank would be to find a broken trimmer on ebay, or hit your local junk yards to find one that will fit with minimal modification.
