There is one of these on ebay, comes with the standard handle. Can a full handlebar assembly be fitted to this and can it use cutting discs?
  Thanks Nathan

Nathan, The answer is yes to both but it could be expensive to do.

hmmm, OK. any idea of what expensive would be?
I am in the market for a decent brushcutter.. there is also a honda 4 stroke as well, but being a more popular brand it is going to get more money I suspect, but it has the handle bars on already.

Nathan_O, The Honda 4 stroke will be heavy compared to the Tanaka and approximate cost to change the handles over would be $100-$150 but I will confirm on Tuesday.

thanks, the tanaka is up to $180 already. finishes tonight. I guess 100-150 is not too bad if the machine is well priced.
from what I can see it would be $600 to buy new with the handle bars.
When you do the conversion to the handle bars, does that include the harness?

The harness would be extra on top.
