I was down at a rather large mower store yesterday with a friend who needed a new air filter for his Shindaiwa T260X (I think). After been given two options, genuine for $18 or a little foam bit for $5 something he opted for the foam.
Anyway, that's not the thing. :-) The guy at the store said that Shindaiwa had been sold to Allpower if I remember rightly, the people that have the Echo machines. So apparently Shindaiwa may not be around for too much longer?
Does anyone have any other information about this? I would not be surprised if it is just BS, seems to be in plentiful supply at mower shops in Queensland.
I have an old Shindaiwa T22 I think, got it about 8 years ago, need a new head for it as one of the clips has broken so I had better get that sooner rather than later, then probably sell the machine, just not enough power for the stuff I need to do on acreage now.
Maybe there will be some cheap Shindaiwa machines soon :-)
