Hi All, long time lurker, first time real poster.

My brother-in-law has given me an older Victa 2 stroke mower as I expressed an interest in this forum and learning about small engines. What I would like to know is what model of Victa is it ?

The PDF document in the manuals area suggests it is a V82 1970-71 utility. The stickers on the sides of the fuel tank are very worn and advise the mower is a series 70. As yet I have not taken a socket set nor screwdriver to even cleaned it up so I have no other information 'cept the pics below.

I am guessing that parts would still be available, stickers though could be hard to get ?

All and any info would be great.

Cheers

matt

mvickers,

Yes it is a series 70 utility mower and most parts are still available for the mower except the muffler. I do have some old mufflers here in storage (2nd hand). The stickers will be hard to find but some people on ebay sell them, you just have to search there. cheers2

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the reply. Can you confirm that it is the V82 1970-71 ?

Cheers.

mowernut, thanks for the links, they are very interesting.

Bruce, I feel better for clarification thank you, being a newbie I would hate to make terrible mistakes with the mower and give up my new found hobby.

A couple last questions in this thread, I believe the motor in this is a 125cc would that be an early or late model ?

Also Bruce, can you get the carby post seal for the G3 ? Accoring to the doc you have in the manuals section it should be part number CR03320A. For the life of me I cant find it in the online shop.

Easist way to tell the difference betwee4n 125 and 160cc is.

On a 125 the cylinder bolts on to the crankcase at the bottom with 4 nuts

On a 160 the bolts that hold the cylinder on go through the cylinder right up the head.

Hi,

The stickers you wanted are currently on Ebay at the link below

There are a couple of mufflers as well that may suit
