Is this listed on eBay? I swear I saw one just like it on there the other night.

deviosi,

You have a fantastic looking mower congrats on the restoration. It would be a pity to use it because it looks better than a new one. cheers2

Deviosi & Deejay, your Scotty's look fantastic. Excellent colour schemes on both. Well done!! Deejay given your pics were taken a few years ago now, does she still look the same??

Funny you should ask that Ross, I am just about to give it its annual spring clean.....when I have finished I shall take some more pics and post 'em....but to answer your question, yes she looks almost the same, a few more scratches here and there, but still in good nick for her age. grin

For sure Deejay. Question- you guys have a better knowledge than me when it comes to engines & assuming you like the Honda, what is genreally the preference for a Scotty. Are there any better or more suited to a cylinder mower than others? B&S/ Honda/ Robin / Victa etc. If you had to replace yours, which would you go for??

cheers- Ross

We are mainly working with opinions here. Mine is that with a collector-type mower such as yours it is always best to have the original engine or an identical replacement. This is especially so when it had a B&S, because those old ones were very good engines. However a pre-Chinese Honda is an even better engine, so if you are going to depart from original specs, that is a good choice. I have never seen a Robin engine so I can't comment on those.

I have noticed that Deviosi does not check the forom out regularly. Does anyone know where he gets all his stickers from?

Both his resto's have a great new looking stickers. In need for a some to suit a SB45 20in resto.

Cheers, Craig
