Hi, Love the site. I am currently restoring a Victa "'Four Star" mower and was wondering whether anyone knows what colour of red was used on the mower originally? I am also looking to create the stone guard attached to the side? Could anyone kindly provide pictures, specs etc? Much Appreciated
here are some pics of the four star in red from vintage mowers,you might be able to get the color matched from that,if you find the correct color let us know as i have one unrestored in red and one in green (next in the list to do)
Thanks for the info. I rang Victa to see whether they may have records of original colors etc particularly for the four star. Surprise, Surprise - they didn't!!!! It really is a shame that such a wonderful Australian icon has so little historical information available.
