G'day, I agree with Joe, it looks as if it was the 'side car' type off one of those wide old rover self propelled, (mines the super town 21, which looks like it would fit). may add pics if i can work out how to!. Regards jay
hi again, now thinking of it, the catchers on these mowers had a small wheel on the outside of the catcher. Personally out of the 20 or so engines laying around my shed I like the engines on this the best. they run at so little revs, and will run like it for hours. Anyway, im just about to start a cosmetic restoration, so if anyone does find a suitable catcher I may be interested. regards jay
I keep forgetting to take pics while up the back of the machine I think this would fit, I tyhink it might even run still.
I have got the old briggs engines running even slower than normal on the old rovers by changing the flywheel to the cast iron type and winding the idle screw even further out.
