Can anyone identify this catcher for me? My father picked it up in a council cleanup.

Thanks

Martin

Dunno mate, the blue on it could suggest rover, It is also similar to old victa click

Or pope click

I would almost hedge a bet on rover as I think I have a suitable machine up the back, I will look at it later if I remember

G'day,
I agree with Joe, it looks as if it was the 'side car' type off one of those wide old rover self propelled, (mines the super town 21, which looks like it would fit). may add pics if i can work out how to!.
Regards jay

Hmmmmm, I am thinking Rover as well now. I can not see any way it actually attaches to a mower! Wierd I know.

In have this Super 4, 21 and there is no way it will go on that.

It must go on the back of a mower, or the front, not the side?

Thanks

hi again,
now thinking of it, the catchers on these mowers had a small wheel on the outside of the catcher. Personally out of the 20 or so engines laying around my shed I like the engines on this the best. they run at so little revs, and will run like it for hours. Anyway, im just about to start a cosmetic restoration, so if anyone does find a suitable catcher I may be interested.
regards jay

I keep forgetting to take pics while up the back of the machine I think this would fit, I tyhink it might even run still.

I have got the old briggs engines running even slower than normal on the old rovers by changing the flywheel to the cast iron type and winding the idle screw even further out.
