Hi,
I have a McCulloch D44 and would like to use it to make a chainsaw mill. The saw has an 18 inch bar on it. I would like to know what the maximum size bar I could put on the saw is and were do I get a bar for it.

Thanks in advance

Jeff

Thats kind ofa small saw to make a mill out of, the powerhead is kinda small for that type of work, the maximum bar would probably be a 20"maybe a 24". I would personally recomend a saw that has 24" for the minimum bar for that type of work. Also I would not recomend using a McCullough unless it was an older model workhorse like the 1-76, instead I would use a Stihl or a Husqvarna.
