Hi JaysonC, I am confused; the brand name to which you refer is Walmart, an american chain store. After the success of Woolworths in Oz, it's a wonder we don't have them here..... As far as any rotary mower predating Victa is concerned, I am not aware of very many rotaries being 'commercially' available in Oz prior to Mervyn Richardson's Model 1 Victa. Can't wait to see the pics of your machine

hi guys, it`s not mine...yet, what i`ve been told is it`s Australian made Wallmark, said to be pre victa but the handles on it look to be something not around in the 50`s. i`m only a novice though so could easily be wrong. i`ve only seen a photo of it & am going by what the owner has told me. i`ll try to post a photo tomorrow.

picture has been added to the photo gallery. the only other info i could get from the owner is that it has a 37cc Tac motor, he bought it 2nd hand in 1970 & was in use until a couple of years ago.
if i can get it at a good price i might just buy it to see excatly what it is.

cheers jayson Jayson the engine is Tas which was the name before they changed it to Tanaka. They use to make a lot of equipment like outboard engines, engine drills, trimmers, chainsaws and even town house type lawn mowers for people that small blocks of land.

Bruce what do you think of the handles ? they seem to be from a later mower, do you have any idea of parts availability for these things ?
picked up my victa 18/rotomo yesterday will post some pics in the next couple of days for id. it`s in better condition than i thought, needs a few things but at least has good compression.
cheers jayson
