Hi niggz, yes you can, you can use one off a later full crank sidepull or early powertorque or one of the ones you can buy online

Thanks for the reply gents. Bruce that's the module I have but cannot for the life of me get spark. I can get it to run with points but not how it should. The coils I have got three wires plug wire, black ground?, positive copper and wire bound wire? I've tried mounting on coil plate, out on engine, both wires on own ortogether. Get nothing. Module testing 4.48k ohms

Hi niggz,

If you have connected the wiring up correctly it should run but if connect incorrectly you will not have any joy.

Take a close look at the paper in the image to make sure that you have everything correct also you need to run the wires from th module under the e plate otherwise you will have issues because if they get to close to the magnets in the flywheel they could rub and the earth out.

Try doing a check and give us an image with the wires connected to the module which should be two.
