Gday all im new to the forum. I got given the old rancher from a mate, its been sitting for 15yrs. I put a new plug n fuel in and a new o-ring in fuel tap and the battery from my old greenfield, the old girl fired strait up.
I know she's an old girl, but have no idea of age. My guess is 70's. I'll get a tube tomorrow.
Oh wow ok cheers in the 60's I thought 70's. Well the ranchers runs quite well nothing but a tune n service won't fix. Headlights don't work but I'm not on it at night.
Any information on where I can get a carry kit and the tuning specifications from, would be awesome. Thanks
Your Rancher model was first made in the late sixties and this model was also made in the early seventies hjpvan, so you could check the numbers on the engine cowl if it;s still got the original motor.

There are also a lot of Youtube Vids you could watch on tuning the carby and adjusting the fuel mixture screw but it's covered in the Briggs manual that I put the link to.
