I collected this mower on a verge cleanup in 1981. I replaced the piston and barrel and have done nothing since. The mixture is controlled with a socket and by squeezing the inlet tube. It starts first time every time. This photo was takin eight years ago.
I had about 20 early VC mowers that cost $10. each but couldn't sell them for $20.for runners so they all got scrapped and they were undamaged originals.
I asked for a few but you said back then you wanted the motors , I ended up with a few alloy bases and only 2 complete 2 stroke victa mowers ,one was an auto drive that needed a rear drive and the other a pace all the others were 4 strokes ,the auto drive got repaired and sold , usually you didn't let go of 2 stroke mowers unless you had repaired them but you had trailer loads of mowers to fix at the time.
I'm pretty much over fixing mowers for sale ,even the slasher mowers are only selling for $100. to $150. and that includes old Deutscher mowers that you see advertised for months.
I saved the Victa 2 stroke full crank motors that were removed from rear discharge bases because I had a lot of utility bases but not worth the effort these days.
