As the title says, I have pulled a couple of these clutches off these mowers but I haven't replaced one This mower hit a pipe and has damaged something. When the motor is running and the blades are not rotating and you open the rear flap the blades are vibrating up and down. I haven't put a dial indicator on the blade carrier but I have rotated it slowly and it looks ok. Has anybody replaced one of these clutches and if so how difficult was it? I know pulling them off it seems quite complicated

Hi Norm,

I've taken the clutch off an earlier model Honda ,I think they are the same clutch.

It may just need a new bearing if the blades are vibrating up and down.

I'd remove the clutch and pull the spark plug out then spin the motor over on the starter cord while looking at the crank
to see if it;s bent.

Cheers
Max.

Hi Max,
Yes I had seen that video and I will get the clutch off in the morning and look at it but I am pretty sure the clutch plate is the issue
