Mower : Rover Model 45 Reel mover
Been having problems with the clutch body constantly adjusting close to the engine. I set the gap between the clutch body and the engine to approximately 5mm and in no time it gets so close to the engine. It even gets close as soon as it starts. I recently opened this to check the clutch body key and the woodruff key - no 9 and they appear ok by me.
Ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi Shannon, I'm thinking you have either an alignment problem or a balance problem

Hi Shannon, Rotate the motor slowly and see if there is any runout in the clutch body. You also need to check the alignment of the motor shaft to the drive shaft. The fact the clutch moves so quickly to me indicates an alignment problem
