Hi ALL, first off, great forum site, very usefull and helpfull!, now to my problem , i have a rover rancher xc and i need a sprocket that drives the chain off the gearbox, it is a splined shaft , and the mower place i took it to told me " no longer in stock and too old" but its a great mower and only needs this sproket to return it to its former glory. Where would i find one , Leon

No, my one has 8 teeth on it , and your right it is a ROVER RANGER XC, would post a pic if i could work out how to do that , ok may have worked out pics .

Can you give me the model number of the gearbox as the parts list for the Rover Ranger XC does not list the cog.

The gearbox should be a Tecumseh / Peerless type and the sprocket part number should be 786047 which I can also supply through the online store but need the information requested.

ah yes the gearbox definitely has Tecumseh stamped on it, the model of the mower is a rover scott bonnar and it is a model 5255 , i have no idea what the model number is on the sprocket and don't know where to look on the gearbox, but am sure with a litle guidence i could find it.Cheers

You should be either stamped on the casing or on a plate near the shaft.
