Guys,
I got myself a Scott Bonnar Spincut 22 with a seized JAP 80 engine. I'm currently stripping the engine down so I can see what damage it has done (and whether it's repairable). I'm at a stage where I'm trying to get the flywheel and boss off. Any tips on how to get these off? They seem to be stucked on there. Note I've already take the pull starter adapter off the flywheel.

Thanks

Hi Zombie,
the nut holding the fanwheel on will screw off. My method to get that undone would be to weld a nut onto the face of the disc and hit it with the rattle gun. Leaving the nut welded on till I re-assembled the motor and then grind the nut off Once you have the nut/plate off you then pull the fanwheel off using the 3 threaded holes in the top of the fanwheel

Thanks NormK. I should note the disc is already screwed off the fanwheel. Just need to figure out how to pull the fanwheel off. Might fabricate a small metal plate with 3 bolt holes to match up with the screw hole on the fan wheel and then use a gear puller?

Round disk drill 3 matching holes to the fanwheel 10mm hole in the centre, 10mm rod and a nut wakes a good puller
