Hi all

The Victa Compact looks a good buy Tyler ,the last one I picked up I paid $50. and I think some people would pay
$50 for a decent Compact catcher.

The Pace price is typical in my area .

Reminds me of a saying ,one man's meat is another man's poison , some of the mowers scrapped came from
Ballarat swap meet ,plenty of complete common seventies and eighties mowers at Ballarat that no one wants for $10.

The Victa mowers repaired would cost me $40 and would sell for $30 or I can buy a Chinese mower for $10 and sell it quickly for $60.

Now those same cars are fetching big money.

Yep I remember selling an old Holden to a wrecker for a $100., the old Holden had a few days reg and was reliable enough
to drive around Australia and I said to the wrecker it's a good usable car and his reply was you may think so.

The old Holdens are fetching big money because of all the ones that were destroyed ,people wouldn't
want them if they were common.

Yes you would name the Horse Victor and say Free Victor mower turns grass into fertiliser ,1 hp goes well
after warming up, good self drive in working condition ,low miles, doesn't come with a catcher but catchers
are readily available online, cheap to maintain, runs great on fresh air and is easily loaded onto a trailer ,has inbuilt security system ,would not be stolen as would not go through a gate with a perpetrator . (Assuming they'd got the mower there in the first place) just as well this mower looks good because this mower can be temperamental . Take away for free or I could pay you to take this mower off my hands.

I guess if your mower was a mare you could name it Mowdonna or Mow-ley Cyrus.

Cheers
Max

Well spotted Tyler. I quite like that Pace.

It’s as you say Max: “One man’s meat is another’s poison”

Looks like I’ll have to find out where the “swap meets” are.
