Thank you all for for providing a friendly place to come

and gain accurate knowledge of things we don't know or are unsure of,

receive comments that help us to further our insight into our many and varied interests,

and be able to search for and receive technical information either recorded or learn't via the school of hard knocks, which is given freely,

Hope 2022 is a great year for all.

mich

Would this be a carbon neutral mower or not?

I thought backyard burnoffs were banned in the early 80s.

In Bundaberg , you can have a mtr square fire..... so I burn and move the fire along.....
Today I turned it over in 20 min, with a long handle shovel as it was pretty light soil. I put some river sand in every year, so now it is nice.
We got a bonus of tons of river sand that came down with the floods..... a couple of years back.
Do you plant a few things?

No speedo, I haven't planted stuff in a long time (some cherry tomatoes in the 90s but my landlady kept picking them!).
My dad was growing strawberries in our garden beds along the fence but not for a long time now. Filled with weeds now.
He plants those yellow daisies you find growing wild on nature strips here and they look quite good on the edge of the driveway, even though they are really weeds.

They come in some pretty wild colour combinations. My personal favourites are the dark orange and burnt red shades with dark in the centre of the petals.
My dad drives me crazy sometimes when he spots some and wants to stop to rip some out only not to get around to planting them.
I've disposed of so many and we really don't have anywhere to plant them, except maybe those garden beds.
