Hi All

I have just picked up a SB33 with a HK25 engine. i am intending to restore to a more useable mower. The catcher has had several repairs and the deflector is cracked.

I have just discovered the tensioner is missing - any suggestions on how to source one of these?

Also, do i need to measure the HK25 eng shaft to work out a replacement option or are they all a standard sze... which is?

TIA
Tony

Hello Tony the shaft size should be either 5/8 or 3/4 depending on the clutch size which should be the same. best to use a vernier caliber to make sure though.
Other people on here probably know more about it who have more experience than me.I replaced the engine on my model 33 with a briggs and stratten engine i was able to get a 3/4 shaft size and got a clutch to suit .it I hope that this helps

Cheers Shaun

Evening, Tony.

Did you source a SB 33 tensioner from your post of April 2020?

I have restored a SB 33 0919 and I have that spare part.

Malcolm.
