Well there you go Max, what a bunch of morons, no wonder this country is a mess and no wonder postage is very expensive and slow. If there just was an alternative. I ordered a phone cover yesterday from NSW so be interesting to see if that arrives before the local items ordered back in September

G'day Norm and all
Australia Post has acted as a semi-people organization for years.
They have no regard for the common folk or the 'Pub Test'.
They have lost sight of the Australian public they should serve.

I do not rate them with any regard at all.
I have said they are a law unto themselves.

Hi Jack,
Never fails to amaze me how these CEO,s have a feeling of I can do what I want. I see she spent $300,000 on her credit card as well as pocketing her $1.6 mil salary. Then there is the $900,000 bill for maintaining plants in Aus Post offices to lift the spirits of staff, improve indoor air quality and help its sustainability commitments. The good news is she is being investigated and stood down at the moment. Trouble is she will probably get a billion dollar payout

Hi Norm
Yeah. I notice CEO's don't seem to roll out the old joke that
if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. We get monkeys anyway.

Norm, you better sit down for this.
It was the previous CEO of AUS Post that received even greater criticism: -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Fahour
Norm, let's talk 5.6 Million!!!

I feel governments have lost site of what 'public servant' means.
Their executive salaries are offensive to working class folks.

Politicians do not appear to understand the frustration
folks feel when this BS arises from time to time.

The great fear is that the current CEO will be a scapegoat
for a greater, systemic and endemic rot within AUS Post.

Australia Post has not been brought to account for its decadence.
I fear for the humble AUS post workers who live with toxic management.

Cheers

It certainly is the lifeblood of Australia, particularly the states. We rival any South American country, only the citizenry are reluctant to challenge it.

Hi Jack,
Best thing for Australians is for Aus Post to be sold off by the government and if they can stand on their own feet then the shareholders can stump up the big salaries and save the taxpayer having to

Yep selling off Aus Post will work out about as good as selling off the government power companies.
We will end up with the highest postage costs in the world.

Postage costs are out of control now Max, couldn't get much worse. I don't think we can blame the power companies for our out of control power prices, the blame lays entirely at the feet off that political party that believes wind and solar will save the world

Daniel Andrews is not doing Labor's image any favours nation wide with all the adverse attention he's receiving in the media.
His demeanor has completely changed since he was campaigning to be premier. Nothing really unusual to be fair. Donald Trump is a complete contrast.

Well it takes a professional liar to be as good at lying as DT is. DT is on a different planet. (His own little world where everyone believes him and no one contradict him)

Just according to DT we have rounded the corner on the Covid-19 and virus is going away yet our daily case count has surged from 50,000 to now just yesterday to over 80,000. Doesn't sounds like it getting better to me as the worst has even hit us yet. But DT has gotten a lot of people to no longer wear even a mask in public crowds. According to him it is a big Hoax.

Plus I am stilling waiting on that first stimulus check promised in May. Just lies from our government here and now just trying to find others to blame for their failings.

As for the mail supposedly, things getting better here but my mail is still running days behind. The only reliable package service is UPS and FedEx here.

Part deliveries are getting worst as a seal I needed this week is now on at least a 8 week delay from Kawasaki. On top that they are dropping the o-ring I need but at least where it is used I can use RTV instead. Oh well the seal will be here next week out of China.

MF,
you have no idea what it is like living in Melb under this idiot, we have pretty much been locked down since Feb and we have been getting as low a couple of new infections a day and we still can't go to the shops unless we can organize a click and collect pick up. Not always easy when you are trying to work out what materials you can get to solve a problem

That is the impression given to Australians.

The Press are now talking of a 'third wave' in North America.
The Donald's spin seems to be that if you tell a lie and continually
repeat it then some folks will believe it. This is marketing 101.

It is amazing that a first-world country could act so ... third world.
I'm embarrassed for the American people and I hope Christmas
brings better spirits and optimism.

Cheers

I'm envious myself that they can have a leader who isn't a politician. America is the envy of many non Americans over this believe me.

What lies has he told? He's been the most consistent president in doing as he pledged without the Democrats being able to thwart him.

Do you seriously want that evil clown Jo Biden to take over with their radical left platform? America would never be the same again and that would be a shame.

Left wingers need to be reigned in and he's just the guy to do it.

It's ridiculous how families are reportedly disowning members just for NOT unquestionably condemning Trump. That's the left wing in a nutshell.

Spoken like a true diehard Trump Republican...that believe you can get a rooster to lay eggs. I don't care how good you are, you can't get him to lay eggs without him having a sex change.

Personally I have worked several companies and corporations. I finally quit trying to work for people that were constant lairs, con artists, and out right thieves. This is why I work for myself now where I can do honest work. So what I don't make a fortune doing the work I do but at least it is honest work.

When it comes to polities I think for myself, looking at all sides, and making up my own mind. I don't need billboards in my yard to make my point using all the cuss words I see on them. I have found that most people rather believe out right lies than accept the truth. This even as they are saying I not cutting off your arm as they cut it off and handing it back to you in a bag.

As for the customers that cheat me of my fair work; they get barred from receiving further work and they can deal with their lying so-called friends. A few have tried sneaking in work through their friends but they quickly forget that I keep records of the equipment serial numbers and get the equipment repairs refused.

BTW how would you feel about being ordered out your vehicle at gun point, hand cuffed, and thrown in the back of the patrol car just because the cop seen an unlabeled prescription pill bottle in the cup holder? It was a reused bottle full of Torx head screws. Three months later my right shoulder is still giving a lot problems where the a$$hole dislocated it jerking me around. I need to see a doctor about but without insurance which they want 4X my monthly income for it I can't do it as I know I need surgery on it.

Hi AVB,
What I can't believe is the poor quality of leaders your country throws up for president, it is just like some sick comedy. We also get some bad so called "leaders" here but the can't have the impact that a US President has. Sorry to hear about your shoulder, and we do hear about how the police deal with things over there.

I know Norm. Some are worst that could run for the job. Sometimes all I can do is try to vote for the least worst if that makes sense.

I don't vote along party lines but for whoever I figure can do the best job. Most times the one I vote for don't win but at least I have the right to complain about the idiot that got in.

As for the law enforcement when I was growing up you could trust them but now are like the military that just run over us civilians. It is one of the reasons that I won't serve jury duty.

AVB,
As for jury duty I worked out some years ago how to avoid it. First time I fronted up and put on such a performance that they sent me home. Big win I thought but 12 months later I got called up again, so I just threw the papers in the bin. Problem is if you reply, they know they have hooked you and then they can threaten you with all sorts of punishment if you don't attend. Never heard from them again and it must be 10 years ago now
