Thats ok Norm - no worries haha
I was talking to a friend who is in melb (around Braybrook ish area west) who has already threatened me that if I say 1 word about Bunnings, Bunnings Sausage sizzle or anything bunnings related, when this is over, the first thing he will do is go to bunnings, buy a new shovel, fly to perth and smack me over the head with it haha
Injuries don't matter, its when it doesn't stop bleeding I worry.
I was quite lucky, if I hit the door knob a couple of inches higher I would have been dangerously close to a few cm long benign bone tumour I have off my arm just down from the shoulder. If I stuff that one up I am in for a world of pain as doctors have told me I could lose feeling in arm if they try to take it out
They took a golf ball sized out out of my right leg 2 inches below the knee, plus 2 more small ones down just above the ankle. They had to go through a nerve (which is also often damaged in knee replacements. 5 years on and I still can't feel half my right shin.
How is your hip going by the way?

Hi Tyler, Hip is fantastic, no issues whatever, best thing ever, to think I put up with that pain for so long is hard to comprehend. The most annoying thing about it was that when I broke the hip originally about 12 years ago and they put a gamma nail in it. It was never really right and once it really started failing I started googling around Gamma Nails and then I discovered that the failure rate on them is very high. Wish I had known that earlier.

Interesting Norm,
Just shows that the 'body spare parts' product market, is still very much a work in progress.
I've had enough of pain too, so I'm up for a double knee replacement in Q3 next year. Arthritic knees, a legacy of a bike crash when I was 24. Have gone back on to private health insurance for this, as the public patient wait lists will have blown stupidly way out.
Surgeon selected; haven't discussed hospital yet, but it will be somewhere like The Avenue Private, or the Alfred.
Cheers, Gadge
