I just got a beat up 20-22" cahinsaw at a yard sale and it has been painted. It says SL11 on the side but I cannot tell who the manufacturer is....

I need to get the gas/oil ratio, possibly find a new carb cover, and just get some general info?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The chain saw you describe is a Remington. As far as I know they are the only manufacturer that used SL-11 as a model identifier.
The factory specification for oil gas ratio was 16:1 but with todays oils you could get along nicely with a 32:1 mix of any of the brand name chain saw oil.

Most of todays oils are warrentied against a lubrication failure at 50:1 with fuel at 89 octane or better. There are two oils that meet the ALL standards and stand behind there oils with the warranty I mentioned above. They are "ECHO" or "HUSQVARNA" .
