I started out thinking they were OK. I liked the plastic carbs since so many of the chonda carbs have rusted bowls and I thought that was an improvement. However now I notice that nearly all of the ones at the dump never have the carburetor air filter cover and I have to fabricate them. After seeing the cheap spring on that ACR and the way it hangs in place I know that will be a trouble source in the future.
Sparker, I am interested - how do you fabricate the filter cover?
The best one I have seen was a guy asking if I had one as he put his jack russell outside, accidentally left shed open and found the dog chewing on some plastic chew toy. Then worked out it was the air filter housing, but the dog wouldn't give it back haha
Lol, dogs! you gotta love 'em. I use a 2 litre plastic milk container and cut it to shape using the curves/corners that are already present on the 2 litre containers. I use a heat gun to further shape them. It's pretty ugly though.
