No alloy body I know of MF - would shatter in that rough environment. some were galv I believe

There was a similar Oz made wide cut Utility type mower, that had a stainless steel deck - built to last!
Think it was a Canning's of Hawthorn, Vic model; but the brand name escapes me just now.

Alloy bodies seem to stand up OK to rocks
I have a very stony yard to mow
An Alloy deck Snapper has been doing for 10 yrs now and I did try the Super 24 as well. No damage to either although I did put a rock through the Pt plastic carburettor on the 24.
That might be a result of the unusual east west mounted PT I have. Carby is way out the back.

A knackered super 24 I found had cracks in a couple of places in the cutting part. They can only take so many strikes in their life.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
