The height adjuster spring being up near the flywheel couldn't have helped. Saw a ryobi like that once - it had ripped the governor wide open whilst the guy went to empty the catcher and blew the engine whilst he ran back
I put the spring back where it should go. Took the starter off , wire brushed the flywheel which was rusty, and coil ends. Set the gap. Used the Bosch electric drill starter....... wouldn't start.... started to take carb off to clean it, tried to drain fuel but tank was empty.................. Silly me. put it back together and it stared with drill. mowed part of backyard. It just started to smoke and stalled. Of cource it hasn't got a throttle.... Gave it a prime and it started , mowed more, stalled again later, started it and finished mowing..... Need to degrease as oil was running out of carb........ Maybe there is too much oil in it, so I'll use it till it settles down..... burns off or dribbles out. cheers speedy

Yes Tyler, maybe vavle adjustment, like the B&S. I was thinking , maybe the oil is caused by crankcase pressure........ it has a breather , i think it comes out at carby. speedy
