Hello ODK bolters and screwers

I enjoy a good fastener like the next man or woman.
But I can't help but feel this video is taking the Mickey.

I know it's subtle, and folks may not pick up on the innuendo. grin

Are you being served the correct fastener?

Hi Max
Yes, more subtle stuff there. I didn't pick up on it at first. grin

I hope these videos set back political correctness a couple of decades.
I mean the nonsense of late is ridiculous - the challenge to Fawlty Towers
German sketch; the removal of our Chris Lilley's episodes that allegedly
racially descriminate in his works. I guess the 'Soup Nazi' will have to go
from Seinfield. Episodes of Little Britain will have to go too...

Benny Hill is out for sure.

Next thing, let's just pull down or deface all old statues,
without considered thought and understanding...

It's a pretty silly World we live in now.
It's too full of BS schmaltz

What is under attack is comedy itself.
Traditionally, comedy had a capacity to speak the pub truth.

And I say that in a non-binary gender-neutral way ... smirk

G'day Jack,

I agree it's political correctness gone too far ,which is the death of comedy. frown

wrong; sometimes the funniest jokes are rooted in tragedy and uncomfortable truths." smile

Evening All,

The PC police seem to be completely missing the fact that the ‘Germans’ episode is ABOUT racism. Big difference between something that is racist and something that holds a light up to it.

Spike Milligan’s series Curry and Chips got axed decades ago because people couldn’t understand the difference.

Yes, this has all gotten very silly......

Next well be dictated to call dogs canine Australians.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

G'day all comedy lovers,
it's heartening for me to think that others feel something is not right.

Gadge did remind us of Mel Brook's Springtime for Hitler and Germany.
[you need to follow the argument]

So, I guess an North American Jew cannot make comedy about
his own races' historical tragedy. This is too insensitive... apparently.

Max aggravated the situation with his magic links. grin

Many thanks to ODK members who see through the PC BS.

I like PRD's view - about "turning a light" ...
We need to see things in the light of day ... to see their falsehood.
Let's not sweep things under the carpet grass!
That's what PC does - dim the light - to prevent seeing the argument
[strong, weak or poor].

Not happy Jan.

Hi Jack,
I'm with you not happy but there is not much we can do about it, just always seems the minority groups have a constant chip on their shoulders and it is always an empty container that makes the most noise
