Hello
ODK history lovers
The
Ezycut was an 18” side discharge rotary lawnmower
sold in the early-to-mid 1960s. With alloy base, it was powered
by a
JAP 2-stroke air-cooled engine.
The
Ezycut Tool Company of
71 White Street, Mordialloc, Victoria, was better known as … a tool company. Their most popular products
were industrial wood working tools – electric saw benches and planers.
This mower appears as a side-line to the business – and it presents
as a mower made by Sydney’s
Loukon Engineering – an OEM who
rebranded their mower and sold it to another OEM to be sold as an Ezycut.
I should point out that there appears to have been three Ezycut mowers –
all OEM rebrands – that came from three separate OEMs! – Amplion,
Villager, and Loukon.
I will say more about that in another topic.
Here, I discuss the last one – the
JAP-powered Ezycut.
