Lawn Freak
Hi all,

I am upgrading my groomer reel to carbide tipped blades and I am selling the tri-tip ones I currently have. These cost me $8 each to buy less than a year a go. They are all in good condition and have minimal wear.

All information for the blades can be found here;
https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=60344&page=2

I have 60 blades and would prefer to sell complete for $250.

PM me for more info.

Simon

Old thread, but curious why you decided to change over the tri-tip blades to carbide tipped blades?

I've just got a 14" SB45 as a 2nd mower and going to convert it into a groomer (got a great deal on a 2nd hand Mow Master HC26 for my main mower). Currently tossing up between Trident lawnmower grooming reel or George's at SB-Fabrication. Noticed your original thread on the 'yellow' groomer discs and thought they looked great with nice tight spacing, but then saw this post saying you were changing to the carbide tipped blades instead.

Wee photo on my front lawn, mix of couch and inter-sprinkled with Kik (washed sand top dress last month, but area on right taking time to come back due to constant shade of neighbours trees).

Celts88,

Welcome to the forum.

Those HCs are something else. I just wish that they made them a bit (a lot!) smaller. A 22" is still stretching the friendship here. If you'd one day like to do a bit of a write up on it here, I'm sure it would be welcomed. Lovely lawn you have too.

I've used Linc at Trident and George for SB parts. Both do good work. I try to support local where I can, so unless Linc hasn't got it, I'll buy from him. He also mows lawns for a living and knows what you need to get the job done. I'll be looking to get a 33 grooming reel from him eventually. Too many projects on the go at once...

Enjoy the forums, lots and lots of great information here.

I don't collect mowers. I just require Multiple Mowing Solutions™.
