CyberJack the manufacturers are living in a bubble evidently as staff at these plants no doubt have unbridled access to as many rolls as they need. It's those damned mega packs that have contributed greatly to the trouble and are the last thing we need right now. They obviously have an ulterior motive to save on the cost of equipment used to package the rolls.

I agree the supermarkets were way too slow to act to prevent this ludicrous situation and I have thought maybe they should offer to pay this joker back the cost price of the rolls only so they have a chance to go to people who actually need them. That would be poetic!!

Perhaps the packs can be opened and one roll given to each customer who comes in as a good will gesture.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Some coles were doing just that MF - Nan went down before she agreed to stay at home for a while and they were giving all the oldies a small coles bag with 2 roles of quilton in it

Another strange twist in this whole saga, never thought I would see the day a roll of toilet paper was worth more than a barrel of oil

What got me they were selling the crude for a negative 37 usd. I did that was possible but it sounded like they were paying someone to take it off their hands. ANd this morning it back up to 15 usd per barrel.

Can't get my head around it Norm

I filled up with 98 ron for 99.9 c a litre - when was the last time you could buy any 'super' grade for that price (unleaded or leaded).

Also can't get my head around -$35 for a barrel of oil in some cases https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04...ow-zero-for-the-first-time-ever/12167518

The criminals should be charging less if the barrel price is in the negative.
They would be skyrocketing the moment a rumour of a price hike started but are super slow to pass on savings.

And here we go again in Vic with the numbnutters out causing panic buying and stripping the shelves bare again. Proves that Vic is full of low IQ people that learnt nothing from a few weeks ago when they went through the shortages caused by these idiots. Victoria is the greatest state in AUS because we obviously have the greatest number of IDIOTS

Yes Max

I think we have allowed to many from the wrong countries to come into Vic, and that is being driven by the need for Victoria to keep the home building industry going, as not much else is happening here these days
